Submission Preparation Checklist

All submissions must meet the following requirements.

  • This submission meets the requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.
  • This submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration.
  • All references have been checked for accuracy and completeness.
  • All tables and figures have been numbered and labeled.
  • Permission has been obtained to publish all photos, datasets and other material provided with this submission.

Author Guidelines

Manuscripts are submitted online through this website. All submissions are assessed by an editor to decide whether they fit the aims and scope of the journal. Manuscripts that fit are sent for peer review before a decision to accept or reject. An editor may desk reject a submission that does not meet minimum standards of quality.

Before submitting, make sure the study design and the argument are well structured, the title is concise and the abstract can stand on its own. Obtain permission to publish all photos, documents and datasets, and make sure all authors agree to be listed. Where appropriate, research should be approved by an ethics committee in line with the legal requirements of the study's country. See the Writing Rules, then follow the checklist above.
